Stoke City supporters were impressed with Jack Clarke’s brief appearance from the bench on Tuesday night as the Tottenham loanee helped his side to a 1-0 win against Sheffield Wednesday.
With less than 15 minutes left on the clock, it seemed as though Stoke were potentially going to drop more points before Michael O’Neil introduced Clarke and Sam Clucas into the fray.
Whilst the Spurs youngster was only on the field for a short period of time, his introduction brought an injection of pace and directness into the side.
They scored within six minutes of his arrival, as they now aim to claw their way back up the Championship table.
Stoke fans enjoyed what they saw from the versatile attacker and it will be interesting to see whether he now starts for his side’s clash with Luton at the weekend.
Clarke may not be flying high like a certain Oliver Skipp is doing at Norwich, but it has still been a positive loan spell for the Tottenham man.
It’s now a case of taking that to the next level during this crunch period of the season where play-off chasing Stoke aim to get into the top-six.
