Some West Ham fans on social media have been drooling over Mipo Odubeko after his brace for the U23s on Monday evening.
The youngster has been banging them in at youth level this term, and while he’s not gotten too many chances in the first-team, he’s been catching the eyes of fans.
West Ham certainly need a striker. After all, they’ve still not replaced Sebastien Haller after his departure in January, but rather than shelling out on a shiny new forward, they could look to promote Odubeko.
Fans certainly believe he deserves a chance in the first-team, and to be fair, we can’t really argue with that view as his goal record this season speaks for itself.
Whether or not Odubeko gets a chance between now and the end of the season remains to be seen, but we certainly wouldn’t write off the prospect of this young talent having a say in West Ham’s quest to qualify for the Champions League.
