Kevin Campbell told Claude and the Bansta’s on YouTube that Arsenal academy product Eddie Nketiah needs to leave and ‘learn his trade’.

The former Gunners hitman, who also works as a pundit for Sky Sports, stated that Nketiah needs to get ‘roughed up’, so Arsenal fans can see what he is really about.

Nketiah was on-loan at Leeds this time last season, but he returned in January when Marcelo Bielsa opted to play the now thriving Premier League hitman Patrick Bamford ahead of him.

Arsenal’s forward line is struggling this season and Campbell suggested that Nketiah isn’t the solution to their problems and he needs experience elsewhere for the time being.

“I think what Eddie Nkeitah needs, and I have said this before and I am going to say it again,” said Campbell. “He needs to go out and learn his trade.

“He went to Leeds and he hardly played. Now, he needs to go somewhere and start, week in and week out. He needs to get roughed up. He needs to understand the game.

“Believe you me, Eddie Nketiah needs to go out on loan and play football because he comes on sparingly and he looks okay in Arsenal’s team, from time to time.

“But when you are the man in a league, week in and week out. Then we are going to see. Then he is going to understand what it takes to be the number one.”

When Nketiah returned to the Emirates in January, the man who allowed him to move out on-loan – Unai Emery – had been sacked and replaced by Mikel Arteta.

He offered the 21-year-old a chance to thrive with the big boys, and whilst he wasn’t scoring goals galore, he didn’t enough to stay in the first-team picture.

But it has been a different story for the poacher this season and it does seem as though a season in England’s second-tier would do him the world of good.
