Tottenham fans have been left frustrated after Nuno Espirito Santo delivered the news that Ryan Sessegnon is still out with an injury.

Nuno shared that ‘the only bad news’ for their League Cup clash against Burnley tonight is that Sessegnon is still injured, as he told Tottenham’s official website.

This has massively frustrated the Spurs fan base, who are now starting to question why they signed the winger in the first place.

It has been two years since the North London club paid Fulham £25 million for the Englishman’s talents (BBC Sport).

He’s a player that arrived with big promise and the hope that he can lead the charge for Spurs for many years to come.

But, in order to do that, you need to be able to get yourself out on the pitch and that just hasn’t happened.

Sessegnon is yet to feature in the Premier League this season and has only made two appearances in the Europa Conference League.

Since that big-money move, the Spurs faithful have only been able to see him in action on 14 occasions, despite signing in 2019.

To put that into context, Sergio Reguilon, who arrived last summer, has played 47 times for the club, whilst Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has played 66 matches.

No wonder the Spurs fans are frustrated, as they expressed their views below:
