Ian Wright told Optus Sport on Premier League Productions that Arsenal ‘need to make sure’ they sign Martin Odegaard on a permanent basis.

The 22-year-old is currently on-loan from Real Madrid and today he helped Arsenal recorded an action-packed 3-3 draw against West Ham.

Whilst Odegaard didn’t have an assist or goal to his name, the technically-gifted youngster was outstanding in the final third, as he kept Arsenal ticking throughout the game.

Well, his performance today impressed Wright so much that he wants Arsenal to do everything they can to get him signed up.

“In the end, the character that they showed was magnificent,” said Wright.

“Chambers, Martin Odegaard, he is someone they do need to make sure they make that signing if they can. He did really come to the fore today.”

After his showing in the North London derby, Odegaard is starting to ramp it up in an Arsenal shirt.

The recently-appointed Norway captain was a wonderkid during his teen years for a reason and that is beginning to show in the Premier League.

With Bukayo Saka shining bright, Emile Smith Rowe also bursting his way through all the obstacles, those two, alongside Odegaard, can really drive Arsenal back to the top.
