Barcelona fans have reacted on Twitter to rumours that the club are confident that Newcastle target, Ousmane Dembele, will sign a new contract at the club.
With the new influx of money entering into the Newcastle airwaves during these past few months, it has got many excited as to what they can do during the transfer window.
Of course, their current situation doesn’t help matters, but all of that hasn’t stopped rumours surfacing about the club targeting certain players.
Spanish outlet SPORT previously claimed that Newcastle are keen to bring the injury-prone Dembele to St James Park.
But it seems all of that could now be put to bed because the same outlet is now claiming that they are optimistic about him signing a new deal at the Spanish giants – his current contract expires in the summer.
Barcelona fans have backed the idea of Dembele staying put and finally trying to showcase his talent to the world.
During the summer of 2017, Barcelona splashed the cash by spending over £120 million on Dembele’s talents from Borussia Dortmund (BBC Sport), even though he was only 20-years-old, at the time.
Even though the Frenchman has had his struggles, he still has admirers and it’s a situation worth looking out for if you are a Newcastle fan.
More so for the summer, especially if he becomes a free, because the Magpies, if they are still a Premier League side, will throw money at the player.
Either way, whilst the rumours edge towards the expert ball-carrier signing on the dotted line at the Nou Camp, anything can happen next month regarding the player.
