Neco Williams has sent a seven-word Instagram message to Rhian Brewster after the striker completed his £23.5 million move to Sheffield United.
The Wales international wrote: ‘All the best bro go smash it.’
The Blades have smashed their club-record transfer fee in bringing the 20-year-old to Bramall Lane, eclipsing the £22 million paid for Sander Berge from Belgian side Genk.
It is a big moment for Brewster, who takes his first step away from Liverpool on a permanent basis having spent his entire professional career with the Reds – he spent the second half of last term on loan at Swansea.
It is, presumably, also an emotional moment for Williams, having risen through the Liverpool youth ranks with the Sheffield United new boy who is just one year older than the Welshman.

The deal for Brewster involves a 15% sell-on clause for Liverpool, and also a buyback option which will last for three years as the BBC report.
He netted 11 goals in 22 Championship appearances while on loan at Swansea last season, and Chris Wilder desperately needs him to start firing immediately.
The Blades are yet to score in the Premier League this season, losing all three of their games so far.

Brewster is still young and should be afforded time to settle in.
However, Wilder needs a goal scorer in his side sooner rather than later.
