Leeds are close to signing Jay-Roy Grot.

NEC Nijmegen sporting director Remco Oversier has given a positive indication that Jay-Roy Grot could soon sign for Leeds United.
Speaking to Sport Nieuws in Holland, Oversier described the talks with Leeds as ‘highly constructive’, hinting an agreement may not be far off being reached.

Grot was claimed to be ready to fly to Leeds to hold talks and undergo a medical.
NEC have recently bought attacker Sven Braken, who will ensure the club are not left short when Grot departs.
The Dutch under-21 international has only one year remaining on his current deal at NEC.

Leeds are keen to wrap up a deal for the forward before the weekend’s fixture with Nottingham Forest.
The Whites sold Chris Wood to Burnley last weekend, while striker Caleb Ekuban has been dealing with a minor foot injury which kept him out of last night’s 5-1 Carabao Cup victory over Newport County at Elland Road.
