Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club posted a six-second video of Folarin Balogun and Cedric Soares at London Colney.
The footage in questions shows the Portugal international congratulating the 19-year-old after he signed a long-term contract with the Gunners.
It put an end to months of speculation surrounding the highly-rated teenager’s future.
At one point, The Athletic even claimed he was close to agreeing a pre-contract deal with a foreign club, which appeared to signal the end of his time at Arsenal.
Now, however, he looks set to shine for the first-team over the next few years.

It was a nice touch from the ex-Southampton man to share his congratulations with the New York-born frontman.
The footage also serves to suggest that Balogun will be featuring reguarly in Arsenal’s first-team training, led by Mikel Arteta.
Previously, the wonderkid had been dipping his toe into first-team sessions, but largely spent his time with the Under-23 side.
He is more than deserving of his place in the first-team.
When Balogun was handed a chance this season, he grabbed it with both hands.
Arteta gave him a total of 63 minutes in the Europa League Group Stage across five appearances, in which he shone.
Balogun scored two goals, and recorded one assist, in just over an hour on the pitch – he certainly proved himself to Arteta and his teammates.
