’Near impossible’: Stan Collymore sends message to Celtic

Stan Collymore has taken to Twitter to send a message to Celtic on winning an historic quadruple treble.

Celtic got the better of Heart of Midlothian 4-3 on penalties in the final of the Scottish Cup on Sunday.

It saw the 2019-20 competition end with the Hoops winning it for the 40th time in history.

It means that Celtic have now won the domestic treble in Scotland for the past four seasons.

Former Liverpool and Aston Villa striker Collymore has hailed the Hoops for their truly magnificent achievement.

The reason a quadruple treble hasn't been done anywhere on earth is because is a bloody near impossible thing to do!

A testament to the constistency of the players and staff over that period.

Title race

Celtic have won the Scottish Premiership title for the past nine seasons and will be determined to make it 10 in a row.

However, things are not going so well for Neil Lennon’s side in the league, with bitter Old Firm rivals Rangers the runaway leaders.

Steven Gerrard’s side are at the top of the league table at the moment with 50 points from 18 matches, as many as 16 points clear of second-placed and defending champions Celtic, who have played 15 games.
