Some Tottenham fans on social media are growing increasingly excited after Jose Mourinho’s update on Gareth Bale’s standards in recent training sessions.

Mourinho claims that Bale is looking better and better in training, saying that he’s growing in confidence.

“He looks happier than ever, he looks confident. In training you can see he has his confidence back, the way he hits his shots. He is in the best condition since he arrived,” Mourinho said.

As you can probably imagine, this update had a few Spurs fans talking.

Understandably, supporters were incredibly excited to hear that Bale is looking sharper, and to be honest, every football fan should be.

There’s nothing quite like seeing Bale in full-flow terrorising defences with his pace and skill, and while we’ve seen rare glimpses of him at his best, he’s not hit the heights you’d expect from a two-time PFA Player of the Year winner quite yet.

However, there’ve been signs that he’s getting there. He’s scored two fantastic goals in the Europa League recently, and if his volley against West Ham was an inch or two lower he could’ve scored the Goal of the Season last weekend.

Mourinho believes Bale is getting better, and Spurs fans are certainly excited about that.

Here’s what Tottenham supporters have been saying on social media…
