Tottenham fans have reacted on Twitter to the transfer rumour that Juventus are open to selling Weston McKennie.
The Old Lady have recently upgraded their midfield by adding Euro 2020 winner Manuel Locatelli to their list of high-quality stars.
That has seemingly dropped McKennie down the pecking order in Turin and Spurs fans want the club to pounce.
Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed that Juventus are willing to sell the combative midfielder this summer.
Tottenham’s new head of transfers, or whatever fancy name you want to give the Italian, has previously expressed a desire to bring the American to England.
And given the situation surrounding Tanguy Ndombele, this is perhaps the perfect opportunity for Spurs to replace one declining star for another one that can lift them up the table.
Spurs fans have backed the idea of trying to sign McKennie but worry about the one constant issue, which is their club not getting a deal over the line.
Plus, there is also the issue of Tottenham not being in the Champions League, so the Juve star will need convincing that little bit more.
Either way, with very little time left until the summer transfer window slams shut, it’s interesting to see what last-minute business Spurs conclude.
One thing is for sure, with Nuno Espirito Santo still looking to bulk up his squad and the Harry Kane saga lurking over everyone’s head, the North London club will be one of the teams at the centre of attention come deadline day.
