Tanguy Ndombele has named the three Tottenham Hotspur players who have helped him adapt to life in North London.

The former Lyon midfielder looks like he is putting a lukewarm first season behind him at Spurs.

Ndombele endured a pretty disappointing first year in North London, relative to his £63 million transfer fee.

But this time around, he is showing Tottenham fans – and Jose Mourinho – what the money bought with a string of barnstorming midfield displays.

For perhaps the first time since joining the Lilywhites, he is playing with a sense of freedom, as if he is finally unburdened by being the club’s most-expensive ever player.

And the star himself has told Football London that France team-mates Moussa Sissoko and Hugo Lloris, together with Ivory Coast international Serge Aurier, have each played their role.

He said: “It’s true that the last season was difficult for me, to change championships like that is not easy. but now I feel like I’m really settling in better and I really hope that I’m on the right track for the future.

“Moussa, Serge, Hugo have helped an awful lot in terms of settling into the club. Last season they were always there for me when I was playing well or not so well and that was really good for me.”

It’ll be interesting to see if Ndombele features tonight.

Mourinho’s side are away to Ludogorets in the Europa League and Ndombele is fit again after missing the defeat in Antwerp last week.

The Portuguese coach, who started the 24-year-old against Brighton last weekend, admitted that his side ‘missed’ Ndombele in Belgium, so it is possible that he starts this evening.
