
Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on social media have been reacting after The Athletic reported that Antonio Conte has banned tomato ketchup and mayonnaise at the club.
Why has Conte banned the condiments? Is he on a war against flavour? No, it’s purely due to the player’s nutrition.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard of a ketchup ban. Paolo Di Canio and Fabio Capello have done similar in the past, while Conte did the same at Chelsea.
It’s interesting to note that this appears to be something of a trend from Italian managers, but that may be a story for another day.
Spurs fans have had plenty to say about this ban, and there’s been something of a mixed reaction.
Some supporters think that a few players may not be best pleased about this, casting aspersions about Dele Alli and Tanguy Ndombele’s diets, while others praised Conte for implementing these strict rules as he attempts to bring an extra level of professionalism to the squad.
