Jamie Carragher has said on Sky Sports News (2:11pm, August 31, 2021) that Tanguy Ndombele could struggle to get playing time at Tottenham Hotspur under head coach Nuno this season.
The former Liverpool star has pointed out that Ndombele has not played at all under Nuno.
The former Wolverhampton Wanderers boss was appointed the Spurs head coach this summer.
France international midfielder Ndombele did not play for Spurs in pre-season and has yet to make a competitive appearance for the North London club this campaign.
Carragher said on Sky Sports News (2:11pm, August 31, 2021): “Maybe not Ndombele (will get minutes). He hasn’t played at all in pre-season with Nuno Santos. Maybe there is a problem there as well.”

Should Tanguy Ndombele worry?
If Tottenham are unable to offload Ndombele on summer transfer deadline day, then the midfielder is likely to be simply reintegrated into the team.
The France international is a good player who can still contribute to the team.
Spurs are unlikely to simply leave the midfielder out of their Premier League squad.

Yes, the 24-year-old will have to work hard in training to get into the team, but no one should seriously expect Spurs head coach Nuno to simply ignore the former Lyon star if he stays.
The Athletic reported over the weekend that Ndombele told Spurs when he returned for pre-season that he wants to leave, but with just hours left before the transfer window closes, it seems that he will stay at the North London club.
