NBA legend Steve Nash was pictured taking part in training with Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday, with Victor Wanyama, Christian Eriksen and Ben Davies all getting to know the basketball icon.

Nash retired from his sport in 2015, but was consistently one of the best point guards in the sport over a career that saw him star at Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks and LA Lakers.

But he was in London this week to take advantage of the privileges his talent and fame has brought him, turning up in North London while Mauricio Pochettino’s side prepare for their match against Leicester on Saturday.

Nash has long been a follower of the Lilywhites, with both his parents heralding from North London. He often meets with figures from the club when in the UK or when Spurs head to North America, and says he has been a supporters his entire life.

It’s no surprise then that the 42-year-old was in dreamland following his chance to meet up with Mauricio Pochettino and the first team squad at Hotspur Way.

Few fans will ever get the opportunity to do what Nash has done, and train with the club you’re followed your entire life, but surely none can begrudge him such a moment.
