Celtic fans have lavished praise on Leigh Griffiths after he scored a crucial goal in tonight’s 2-0 win over Ross County.
The striker was a surprise inclusion in Neil Lennon’s starting XI, but justified the faith shown in him by his manager with his second goal in two games.
Griffiths came off the bench to great effect on Sunday in the Scottish Cup Final win over Hearts, scoring his side’s third during extra time before Celtic won on penalties.
He built on that this evening with a second-half header, doubling his side’s advantage after David Turnbull opened the scoring 24 minutes in.
The champions remain 16 points behind Rangers in the title race, with Steven Gerrard’s men securing a comfortable 3-0 win over St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park.
Supporters were relieved to see their side earn a second consecutive league win, and they were full of encouraging words for Griffiths.
