Speaking to Arsenal’s official website, Mikel Arteta has been waxing-lyrical about Folarin Balogun after the striker signed a new contract with the Gunners.
The 19-year-old has been locked in something of a contract saga this season, and at one point it looked as though he was destined to leave the north London club.
However, both parties have now come to an agreement, and Arteta has had plenty of good things to say about Balogun after he signed his new deal.
“We have been extremely impressed with Flo this season. He has continually shown his natural ability in many training sessions with us and we have been equally impressed with his early integration into the first-team squad on matchdays,” Arteta said.
“He has given us glimpses with the performances and of course with his two goals already for the first team. The hard work starts here for Flo and we are all looking forward to supporting and working with him in the years to come.”

It seems as though the gaffer really rates the teenager, and why wouldn’t he?
Balogun has shown time and time again for the U23s that he’s a top talent, and the fact that he had so many teams chasing him as his contract was coming to an end shows just how good he is.
Fingers crossed this natural ability that Arteta talks about can be utilised in years to come and Balogun can flourish and become a bona fide Premier League star.
