West Ham United have been linked with Liverpool’s Nathaniel Clyne.

According to The Sun, Bournemouth are unlikely to make Nathaniel Clyne’s move from Liverpool permanent this summer, instead targeting Chelsea’s Reece James.
The Cherries took Clyne on loan from Liverpool in January, landing both him and Dominic Solanke from the Reds to boost Eddie Howe’s squad.
Clyne has played 14 games for Bournemouth, grabbing one assist, but it seems that Eddie Howe is going to snub a permanent deal for the 28-year-old.
That will leave Clyne to go back to Liverpool where he clearly has no role, and even a move to West Ham United now appears to be unlikely.
Goal recently claimed that West Ham will make a move for Clyne to bolster Manuel Pellegrini’s options, but there suddenly appears to be no room for him.
That’s because veteran Pablo Zabaleta has signed a new contract, and speedy right back Ryan Fredericks has enjoyed a fine end to the season, meaning he should start next season as West Ham’s first-choice right back.

West Ham also have Sam Byram returning from Nottingham Forest, and whilst he could go, they certainly wouldn’t risk getting another right back in without offloading Byram.
Manuel Pellegrini may well have fancied Clyne as a proven Premier League option if Zabaleta didn’t sign a new contract, but having kept the Argentinian, it now seems that there’s simply no room for Clyne to make the move to the London Stadium, leaving his future unclear.
