The Newcastle United keeper made his England Under-21 bow earlier this week.

Chelsea starlet Nathaniel Chalobah has congratulated Newcastle United goalkeeper Freddie Woodman on his England Under-21 debut this week.
The Newcastle stopper, 19, made his bow for the Young Lions in the 1-0 win over Kazakstan on Friday evening.
A goal from Leicester City’s Demarai Gray was enough to secure his side’s entry into Euro 2017 next summer.

Woodman had been a regular at Under-20 level, but injuries saw temporary boss Aidy Bothroyd try him out in the age above, and he made a good impression.
Another man who earned his first cap at this level was young striker Tammy Abraham, who has eight goals in 11 Championship games for Bristol City so far.

Abraham is on loan with City from the West London side, and Chalobah has offered his congratulations to his team-mate at Cobham and the Newcastle youngster.
Woodman will need a loan spell away from the Magpies if he does have plans on staying at Newcastle. That is because the teenager is behind Tim Krul, Rob Elliot, Matz Sels and Karl Darlow in the pecking order at St James’s Park.
It seems very unlikely that he will get chances under Benitez this season, and a loan spell in January may be the best move for him and his career.
