Glasgow Rangers youngster Nathan Young-Coombes was asked to pick his dream five-a-side team consisting of Ibrox stars.

Nathan Young-Coombes was asked by a Rangers fan on Twitter to name his dream five-a-side lineup consisting of the current Gers stars – and there seemed to be at least one controversial choice in the youngster’s team.
Young-Coombes is one of the most exciting prospects currently in the Ibrox academy. He regularly seems to catch the attention for the youth sides, and it seems to be a matter of time before he is being discussed for a potential chance in the first-team.
He took part in a Q&A on Twitter on Tuesday, and was asked by one supporter to pick his dream Rangers lineup for a five-a-side game. And while there were some obvious names chosen, there were perhaps some more debatable picks…
Allan McGregor was understandably named as the goalkeeper, while Ryan Kent has also got the nod. It is not difficult to imagine Kent being the player that rips teams apart on the five-a-side pitch with his skill and ability on the ball, and probably ending the game with at least two hat-tricks.

But alongside those two men are Connor Goldson, Ross McCrorie and Jermain Defoe. All three are not bad picks by any means, and it would be no surprise if McCrorie and Young-Coombes are lining up in the same Rangers side in the coming years.
However, someone like James Tavernier may have been worth a shout given the quality that he provides at both ends of the pitch, and the decision to overlook Alfredo Morelos could be deemed questionable.

Of course, Defoe is one of the game’s best finishers from the past two decades. But Morelos has been sensational this season, scoring 29 goals in all competitions.
But Young-Coombes went for the veteran on this occasion. And perhaps Rangers fans can one day expect to see the 16-year-old named in a five-a-side lineup when a future academy ace gets asked a similar question.
