New recruit Nathan Thomas has announced himself to the Sheffield United supporters on Twitter.

The 22-year-old completed his move to Bramall Lane on Monday afternoon, signing a three-year deal from Hartlepool United.

Other Championship clubs, including Leeds United and Thomas’ hometown team Middlesbrough, were also linked with moves for the winger, who moves for an undisclosed fee.

On becoming a Blade, Thomas posted via his personal account on the social networking site:

And Sheffield United fans are happy to have him, it seems, replying in numbers to their second summer recruit, after returning Chesterfield striker Ched Evans.

The Blades’ business is not expected to end with Thomas, who is one of a string of players linked with moves to Bramall Lane in recent weeks.

Portsmouth’s Enda Stevens, Charlton’s Ricky Holmes, Walsall’s Erhun Oztumer and even Everton’s Phil Jagielka are among those whose names have been mentioned so far.

Chris Wilder’s side romped to the League One title last season, hitting the 100-point mark, and return to the second tier of English football for the first time in six years.
