Young West Ham winger stated his case with impressive under-23 performance.

West Ham United youngster Nathan Holland’s performance for the under-23s last night was an argument for the club not to sign Samir Nasri.
The 20-year-old winger has been on the verge of West Ham’s first team for the past 18 months, only for injury to strike at inopportune times.
Now fit again, Holland is making a last chance bid to state his own claim for promotion to Manuel Pellegrini’s first team.
Free agent Samir Nasri is training with West Ham at present as the club weigh up a move which could cost them £80,000 per week in wages, Football London report.
Last night Holland scored the opening goal and then provided an assist for Xande Silva as West Ham’s under-23s beat Blackburn 3-1.
His performance was praised by under-23 coach Liam Manning, who told the club website: “Nathan has come back and taken a while to get back to where he needs to be in terms of fitness but to get more minutes in his legs is great for him tonight.
“He put a real shift in and was a threat going forward and he was unlucky not to get a penalty as well. He got in dangerous areas and caused them problems on the counter so it’s great to have him back.”

It was an important contribution from the former Everton youngster, as he looks to get back on track and push for the first team.
He has had to watch on for the past month as teenager Grady Diangana received the chance he dreamed of.
There could be room for both wingers, but Holland especially will suffer if West Ham pull the trigger on a deal for Nasri.
If Holland can continue to impress over the next two to three weeks, he could stand a chance of convincing the Hammers to make a u-turn and cancel their plans to sign Nasri up.
