West Bromwich Albion prodigy Nathan Ferguson has taken to Twitter with a heartfelt message for the Baggies fanbase after West Brom saw their unbeaten Championship run come to an end in a 1-0 defeat to Leeds United at Elland Road on Tuesday night.

The 18-year-old put in another impressive performance as he showed good decision making and was calm and composed in his passing and tackling, a display to be proud of especially in the intense atmosphere at Elland Road.

Unfortunately for Slaven Bilic and co, they fell behind to a somewhat unfortunate goal as an Ezgjan Alioski shot was deflected by Kyle Bartley into the corner of Albion’s net shortly before half time.

West Brom set about trying to get back on level terms and performed admirably in the second half but they could not find the breakthrough as the Whites held firm, ensuring Marcelo Bielsa and co would take all three points and condemn the Baggies to their first league defeat of the campaign.

Ferguson’s tweet to the Albion fanbase saw plenty of supporters rally round and console him and the team on social media:

West Brom return to The Hawthorns this weekend as they host Cardiff City in the Championship.
