Nathan Delfouneso came through the youth ranks at Aston Villa and now plays for Blackpool.

Nathan Delfouneso has expressed his delight at Aston Villa’s recent promotion to the Premier League as he made it clear that’s where they should be.
The former Villa academy star also shared that he still looks out for their results and he is hoping that they have a successful season upon their return to England’s top-flight.
Dean Smith’s side ended their three-year absence from the promised land eight days ago when they beat Derby County in the Championship play-off final.
Speaking to Sky Sports News (03/06/2019 at 3:40 pm), the Villa Park faithful will just absolutely love Delfouneso’s message about their promotion and the club.
“They are a Premier League club, that’s where they should be,” Delfouneso told Sky Sports News. “I watched the game [play-off final] and I was really happy for them. Seen a couple of the staff members there as well, who are still there.
“But really happy for them and congratulations. I’ll be watching out for them next season in the Premier League and I really hope they have a successful season.
“I always do, I always look out for their results. It’s a club which I am really close to. I grew up there and it’s still a part of me. I was delighted to see them go up and I wish them luck for next season.”

Striker Delfouneso, who now plays for League One side Blackpool, came through the ranks at Villa Park as a speedy youngster during the noughties before pursuing his career in the lower leagues.
The Birmingham-born player came through the system just after Gabby Agbonlahor and many were tipping him to follow in his footsteps at the time.
Martin O’Neil was in charge of the club in those days, but Delfouneso only made brief appearances for Villa back then, who were in Europe before their demise started.
