Arsenal face growing competition for PSG midfielder Leandro Paredes, with Inter Milan now reportedly interested in the Gunners’ target.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Serie A side are looking for cover for Marcelo Brozovic, with Paredes an option for Inter given PSG’s stance on the Argentine midfielder.

As per the report, the Ligue 1 giants are open to offloading the 27-year-old this summer for cheap, with PSG slapping a €15m (£12m) price tag on the former Zenit star in what could be a bargain deal this transfer window.
CalcioMercato reported last week that Arsenal have begun exploring the possibility of signing Paredes, a player who rejected a move to Tottenham in the January transfer window according to the Athletic.
Labelled as ‘nasty’ by former PSG midfielder Fabrice Pancrate, Paredes looks set for a big move this summer, and with Arsenal and now Inter both keen on the South American, this will no doubt be a transfer saga to keep an eye on.
Entering the peak of his career, the defensive midfielder will not be short of options this in the window, yet for Arsenal, Inter could prove to be the best pick for Paredes given what the two European giants want.
Inter target Paredes doesn’t align with Arsenal’s transfer policy

Mikel Arteta set the standards last summer for what the Arsenal manager wants in new signings, young and hungry players who can grow at the club and develop into the Basque coach’s system. And for Paredes, the PSG star and now Inter target does not fit this criterion.
Indeed, whilst a central midfielder is a key area for Arsenal to improve on this summer, Paredes doesn’t quite fit the bill for what the north London side are looking for, meanwhile a move to Inter could be perfect for the Argentine.
