Newcastle United have reportedly been negotiating with Napoli for Pepe Reina, with Aleksandar Mitrovic of interest to the Serie A side.

Talk of Aleksandar Mitrovic leaving Newcastle United this summer persists, with Serie A giants Napoli reportedly now interested.
The 22-year-old has been linked with moves to Turkish sides Fenerbahce and Besiktas in recent days, although the Northern Echo has claimed either club would have to match the £13million fee paid by Newcastle two years ago.

However, according to the same report, Napoli have joined the chase for Mitrovic and want to secure a cut-price deal.
Despite Newcastle’s hefty demands, it is suggested the Italian outfit believe the forward’s current status at St James’ Park – where he is expected to be on the fringes of the first team for next season – should knock the price down.
It is a move that could work for Rafa Benitez, too, though, as the Magpies continue their efforts to sign a new goalkeeper, with Napoli’s Pepe Reina on the radar.

The Northern Echo had earlier reported that Newcastle were put off by a quoted £5m fee for the World Cup winner, but interest in Mitrovic could allow the two sides to negotiate.
If Benitez can land a top keeper and move on a forward who would struggle for game time in the Premier League, a deal could work for all parties.
