One star man could be absent against the Anfield side but another one previously in doubt could now be involved against Jurgen Klopp and the Reds.

Ahead of Liverpool’s Champions League opener against Napoli next Tuesday, the Serie A side has reportedly been handed a blow in the form of Arkadiusz Milik not returning to full training until next week, all but ruling him out of the San Paolo clash (Tuttomercatoweb) – but another key player seems to be back to full fitness.
The Partenopei striker has been sidelined since mid-August due to a muscle problem and, although there were reports that he was closing in on a return, TMW reports that he is now set to miss this weekend’s Serie A game against Sampdoria, also in Naples, as well as the clash against the European champions.
Other reports, meanwhile, suggested that Lorenzo Insigne was also a doubt for the game, but a Napoli update published on Thursday evening confirmed that, while Milik took part in bespoke training, the Italy international took part in the full training session, hinting that he could potentially be involved against Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Both Milik and Insigne are crucial players for the Partenopei – last season, the Poland international scored 20 goals and claimed four assists from 47 appearances (Transfermarkt), and Insigne scored 14 goals and claimed 6 assists last season in 41 appearances (Transfermarkt), while this term, he has two goals and two assists from two games.
The Reds will face Carlo Ancelotti’s side for a second successive campaign this term, with last year’s trip to Italy in the group stage leading to a 1-0 loss due to a 90th minute strike from Lorenzo Insigne, although they did win 1-0 at Anfield to reach the knockout stages – and the rest, of course, is history.
