Jack Grealish has taken to Twitter to reveal that he and Matt Targett nearly had a fight at Aston Villa’s Bodymoor Heath Training Ground.
Aston Villa’s Twitter account posted a photo of the pair alongside each other in training, just as they’re about to high five.
However, Grealish then replied to admit that it wasn’t always that rosy between him and the £11.5 million full-back.
You can see the 25-year-old’s tweet below.
If you’re able to better a player of Grealish’s quality in any kind of football match – in training or elsewhere – you deserve to be hailed, not fought.
We’re sure that the 5-cap England international was speaking from a jovial point of view.
It would be very surprising to hear that things genuinely became heated between the two over a small-sided training match.

What sort of captain would that make Grealish if he did flare up over that sort of thing!
From our point of view, we just hope that Targett was being careful around the Aston Villa No.10.
Grealish has only just returned to full fitness, and with EURO 2020 on the horizon, he can’t afford any more setbacks.

As a nation, we also can’t afford to see him suffer anymore issues.
Grealish has been so impressive this season, scoring seven goals while also providing 12 assists.
His talent is so immense that he arguably has the potential to be the best player at EURO 2020 – he is that good.
It’s now up to himself and Dean Smith to manage the workload properly, so Gareth Southgate can welcome a fully fit Grealish to the England camp.
