The Huddersfield Town hitman would be a superb signing for Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer.

Wolves boss Nuno Espírito Santo has a lot of work to do at Molineux this summer, if he is to build a squad that is genuinely capable of making a sustained challenge for the promotion spots.

The Portuguese must be looking to improve his forward options, with the lack of pace in the striking department surely a major concern for the former Valencia and Porto manager.

With this in mind, the Black Country outfit should consider a move for Huddersfield striker Nahki Wells, who has been linked with a move to Burnley, according to the Mirror.

The 27-year-old has just one year remaining on his current deal with the Terriers, so he shouldn’t prove to be too costly, should Wolves make a concrete move.

The Bermudan possesses all of the attributes that Nuno’s men currently lack. He is quick off the mark, has plenty of experience in playing at Championship level, and is an accomplished finisher.

Wells is predominantly an out-and-out striker, but he is capable of playing anywhere along the front-line, and that kind of versatility will surely appeal to the Wolves boss.

The Bermuda international made his name during his time at Bradford City, scoring 42 goals in 91 league outings, and it is that kind of goal return which could make all the difference for Nuno’s men next season.

And if the Portuguese manages to bring Wells to Molineux this summer, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for Wolves, as far as their hopes for promotion are concerned.
