Leeds United reportedly look set to miss out on Nahitan Nandez, with his agent saying that talks are going on with Inter Milan, as quoted on Fcinter1908.it.
Leeds United interest
Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds have been strongly linked with Cagliari midfielder Nandez.
L’Unione Sarda reported in June that Nandez was ready to leave Cagliari for Leeds.
La Nuova Sardegna reported last month that the West Yorkshire club were ready to pay the Uruguay international midfielder’s release clause of €36 million (£30.85 million).
Agent claims
Nandez’s agent has claimed that there is an agreement between the player and Cagliari to sell him this summer.
According to Pablo Bentancur, Italian champions Inter are in talks over signing the 25-year-old, who scored two goals and gave two assists in 32 Serie A games last season.
Bentancur told Fcinter1908.it: “Things are going well. For our part we are honoured by Inter’s interest.
“With Cagliari’s salvation there was a promise: Giulini would help him sell him to a big club in the summer. Inter, let’s see.”

Leeds United to miss out?
Bentancur’s comments suggest that Nandez would love to join Inter.
It seems that if Inter and Cagliari agree on a fee, then the Uruguayan will join the Italian champions.
Centotentuno recently reported that Leeds are unable to come up with the money to trigger the midfielder’s release clause.
It does now appear that Leeds will miss out on Nandez.
