Andy Robertson channeled David Beckham in Liverpool training on Thursday afternoon.

Jurgen Klopp put his Liverpool players through their paces ahead of tomorrow’s trip to newly-promoted Brentford in the Premier League, which kicks off at 5.30 pm.

The Reds released some footage of the session at the Axa training centre and an unlikely figure lit up the day.

In one part of the video, Robertson, an £8 million signing in 2017, can be seen bending the ball into the top corner from outside of the box.

Everyone knows that the Scotland defender has a decent left foot, but Liverpool fans haven’t seen him do that very often.

And here’s how some fans of the Anfield club reacted to the footage on Twitter:

Headache

Klopp has a genuine decision to make on whether Robertson starts at left-back against the Bees tomorrow.

That’s because Kostas Tsimikas has looked very, very good this season and is really pushing the former Hull City man.

The Greek defender had a dismal first season on Merseyside last term, culminating in only five minutes of top-flight football.

This time around, the 25-year-old has started three Premier League games already and it has to be said that he has come on leaps and bounds.

It must be stressed that Klopp probably will use Robertson, a mainstay in the Liverpool sides that won the Champions League and Premier League in recent years.

But the fact that it isn’t such a no-brainer these days is testament to how much better Tsimikas has become and long may it last.
