Ahmed Hegazi has performed well since arriving at West Bromwich Albion on loan in the summer.

Hegazi has proved to be an excellent signing for the Baggies, joining Tony Pulis’ side on a season-long loan from Al Ahly. And while it has not been a flawless start to life at The Hawthorns for the Egyptian, he has undoubtedly impressed.

Despite costing the side the three points in their game with Stoke earlier in the season, he has generally been one of the most reliable performers in the squad this term, featuring in all nine of West Brom’s top flight games so far this term.
And Baggies teammate Chadli seemingly could not praise Hegazi high enough after seeing his start to life with the club close up.

“Ahmed is a great player,” he said, as reported by the Express and Star. “He’s very strong in the air, has good feet, he’s intelligent, and can be very dangerous at set pieces and score goals.
“He’s a very good player for us to have. It’s important to keep everybody fit and we’re counting on him.”
The Express and Star reports that both Craig Dawson and Jonny Evans will miss the side’s clash with Manchester City at the weekend, meaning that Hegazi will almost definitely start provided that there are no problems in the build-up to the game.
And he will have to prove exactly why he is so highly-rated by his teammates on Saturday as West Brom will be looking to become only the second team to deny Pep Guardiola’s men three points in the top flight this term.
