Nacer Chadli has warned West Bromwich Albion’s Premier League rivals that the club’s star striker Salomon Rondon is not like other forwards and is set to improve further, the Express and Star reports.

The Venezuelan is the Baggies’ second highest goalscorer in the top flight this season – behind Chadi – having scored three goals to help Tony Pulis’ men make a bright start to the campaign.

And while summer signing Chadli is already convinced that his teammate is a great player already, he has suggested that he is only going to get better.

“I think he is a great striker but he is still improving,” he insisted, as reported by the Express and Star. “All a striker does normally is score goals but he is different.

“He gets involved a lot and works hard for the team. It’s difficult to find a striker like this. We have a good partnership up front and he is a great lad as well.”

With Chadli also being West Brom’s most productive player when it comes to assists, it is surely fair to say that Rondon’s development will be significantly aided as the Belgian settles into his new surroundings at the Hawthorns.

His creativity is likely to see the 27-year-old receive several more opportunities in front of goal. And once they develop the kind of partnership which sees their actions become instinctive, it will surely be extremely difficult for most defences in the top flight to keep the pair at bay.
