The Reds tried to sign him from RB Leipzig last summer and pulled off a deal eventually, but on the only condition that the move was delayed until July 2018.
Keita’s official arrival is almost here, and the midfielder is already in Merseyside ahead of his move, with the Liverpool Echo reporting he could make his pre-season friendly debut on July 7.
The midfielder can’t wait to get started, and sent a message to fans on Instagram of himself as a teenager with his pals all wearing old Liverpool kits.
Keita is Liverpool’s second most expensive ever signing behind Virgil Van Dijk and he will add a totally new element to their game next season.
Reds fans have had to wait, but Keita will likely be worth it.
