Tottenham Hotspur face the frightening prospect of losing Christian Eriksen, but Nabil Fekir would be a superb replacement.

If Tottenham Hotspur manage to bring in Nabil Fekir then his arrival may well be worth losing Christian Eriksen for.
Lyon want big money for the forward, who nearly left to join Liverpool for £53 million last year (Telegraph), and Tottenham would surely only pay that if they needed a replacement for Eriksen.
The Danish playmaker has been a key part of Spurs’ team over a number of years, but his future is currently in doubt, as he has just over a year left on his contract.
There have been suggestions that Eriksen could move to Real Madrid in the summer.
Tottenham now seem to be making contingency plans, with Fekir arguably the highest profile name to be linked with a move to White Hart Lane this summer.
Fekir is a much different player to Eriksen, as he possesses more pace, but isn’t quite as talented a passer as the Spurs man.

If Fekir was to arrive in north London then Mauricio Pochettino would have to alter Spurs’ style, but his signing would be hugely exciting.
The French international is blessed with such speed and creativity that he may not just replace Eriksen – he could well be an upgrade.
Fekir arguably poses a greater goal threat to defences than Eriksen, and Spurs would have such speed to attack teams with if he was to arrive.
If Tottenham could add Fekir to an attack already containing Harry Kane, Lucas Moura, Heung-Min Son and Dele Alli then it would be a frightening prospect for any opposition side.
And although Eriksen’s loss will hurt Spurs, if Fekir came in then they may just have found a way to improve their team.
