Jack Grealish was left stunned on Instagram after Dele Alli scored a quite spectacular overhead kick for Tottenham during their Europa League tie against Wolfsberger tonight.
Alli has found game time tough at Tottenham this season, but boy has he showcased to the world what he is capable of with that brilliant control, turn and overhead kick finish in the first half.
Aston Villa’s very own star, Grealish, is well aware of what it takes to score eye-catching goals, but he probably hasn’t managed to score one as good as that.
Nonetheless, this is the simple message Grealish put on his Instagram story when reacting to Alli’s goal: ‘Naaaaah @Dele’ added with a shocked face emoji and a fire emoji.
Well, the Tottenham faithful will be hoping to see this Alli in the Premier League because his presence, cutting-edge quality and arrogance has been missed.
If the England international, along with Gareth Bale, can get firing from now until the end of the campaign then there’s no reason why Spurs shouldn’t secure European football.
Added with that, their chances of lifting some much-needed silverware will also be increased, as their League Cup final against Man City is their best shot yet.
But from Alli’s perspective, this is some message to Jose Mourinho that he’s still here and ready to get back into Tottenham’s first-team picture on a more regular basis.
