According to Croatian outlet, Sportske Novosti, Dinamo Zagreb are about to receive a bid of up to €8m (£6m) for Mislav Orsic from an unnamed Premier League club.
Now, it’s unknown which team is in for Orsic at this moment in time, but we can have a decent guess at it being Tottenham Hotspur.
Now, this isn’t just a stab in the dark, there is some method behind the madness.
Let’s look at the facts. Tottenham want a new attacking option, that much has been said by almost every reputable journalist covering Spurs this month – Orsic ticks that box as he’s an attacker who can play on the left or the right wing.

Tottenham don’t like spending huge money in January – £6m is a more than modest fee for a so-called ‘special player’, and this is a footballer who has wowed Spurs in the past.
Let’s not forget, it was less than two years ago that Orsic scored a hat-trick against Tottenham in a game that played a massive part in Jose Mourinho being sacked in April 2021.
Tottenham have seen first-hand what this player can do, and he’s not slowed down since. He grabbed 20 goals in all competitions last season, and he’s already bagged 13 this term, and it’s only January.
He also grabbed a goal at the World Cup in the Third-place playoff match, and has been a teammate of the likes of Ivan Perisic and Luka Modric on the international stage for some time – two players who may well have endorsed a move to Tottenham for Orsic.
We can’t say for certain that Spurs are the team in for this player. After all, pretty much every team in the Premier League can afford this kind of bid right now, but it wouldn’t be surprising at all if Tottenham were the mystery side behind this bid.
