Rangers continued their fine start to life under new manager Pedro Caixinha with a 2-0 home win over Partick Thistle on Saturday afternoon.
The Gers were buoyant after beating Aberdeen 3-0 away from home last weekend, and they took that into Saturday’s clash with neighbours Partick Thistle.
Kenny Miller struck in the first half to put Rangers 1-0 up, before midfielder Jon Toral – on loan from Arsenal – added a second after the break to hand the Gers a 2-0 win.
It’s now five games played under Caixinha and no defeats, with the Portuguese boss recording three wins and two draws as Rangers hunt second place in the Scottish Premiership table.
After the final whistle, fans were delighted with the win, and Rangers players took to Twitter to send messages to supporters, with goalkeeper Wes Foderingham unsurprisingly delighted with a third straight clean sheet.
Defender James Tavernier echoed those sentiments as Rangers tighten up at the back, but the right back suggested that the focus immediately switches to Saturday’s Scottish Cup semi-final with Celtic at Hampden Park.

Midfielder Emerson Hyndman was happy with a ‘good win’, but also praised team-mate and goalscorer Jon Toral whilst focusing on next week – much like Myles Beerman.
The 18-year-old left back, who has started the last three games in the absence of captain Lee Wallace, again impressed against Partick Thistle, and the Maltese teenager admitted that playing in front of 50,000 people at Ibrox was a ‘great experience’.
Joe Dodoo – who came on as a half-time substitute for Barrie McKay – praised the fans for their support, noting that it was a ‘good three points’ for Rangers on Saturday afternoon.
