Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has suggested that all his players want to stay at Anfield ahead of the summer transfer window on Sky Sports.

Liverpool may well not be able to offer their key stars Champions League football next season.

That has led to speculation over the futures of players like Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

However, Klopp has suggested that he does not expect any key players to depart Merseyside this summer.

“I don’t expect difficult conversations. At the moment no player has come to me and said anything about that. We will finish the season in the best possible way and have a break,” Klopp revealed.

“Some of us have Euros and Copa America this summer. We pray they will come back healthy and then have a proper pre-season. We’ll then see who will be with us or not.

“No one will be forced to stay. My understanding is that the boys want to stay. We want to prove we are better than this year.”

That looks like positive news for Liverpool, who will surely be intent on keeping key players around.

The Reds are likely to want to raise funds for additions this summer, but that is set to be from the offloading of fringe players rather than first-team stars.

If Liverpool are to mount another title challenge next season then they will be relying on Salah and Mane finding their top form again.

And if they can keep their most vital players in place, while also getting the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Jordan Henderson back to full fitness, then Klopp’s side should be a much more dangerous prospect next term.
