Moussa Sissoko has wished Harry Winks ‘good luck’ after he left his boyhood club Tottenham Hotspur and secured a transfer to Championship side, Leicester City.
The 27-year-old has been at Tottenham all his life, but that chapter has now ended after his career at Hotspur Way stagnated during the past few seasons, including being loaned out to Italian side, Sampdoria last season.
That saw the technically-gifted midfielder lose his way in north London and it was obvious that a permanent move away from the club was lurking around the corner.
When Harry Winks’ exit was confirmed, his former teammate, Moussa Sissoko, posted via his Instagram story on Saturday ‘good luck, my son’.
The duo played alongside each other for many, many years, including helping Spurs reach the Champions League final under Mauricio Pochettino.
The Tottenham faithful wish they could turn back time because a lot has changed since then, including the team’s decline on the field.
Many of those players, from Jan Vertonghen to Kieran Trippier, have now departed, as only a few, such as Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Eric Dier, remain from those days.

Winks in the Championship
At the start of last season, not many would have predicted Winks and Leicester City to be in the Championship 12 months later.
But here they are and they both need to pick themselves up again.
The Foxes are going to be one of the favourites, if not the favourites, to make a return to the Premier League next season, and if it happens, then it will help Winks’ career as he comes into his peak years.
