Reported Tottenham Hotspur target Altay Bayindir has played down talk of a move to the Premier League, telling Fanatik that he is fully committed to the Turkish giants.

While it would be harsh to criticise Hugo Lloris for his role in Michail Antonio’s opener on Sunday, another less-than-convincing performance during Sunday’s 2-1 defeat at West Ham did the Frenchman’s ailing reputation few favours.

Lloris was on the end of some heavy criticism after disappointing defeats to Manchester City and Everton.

If we are being uber-picky, perhaps he could have made a better fist of clearing Antonio’s initial effort before the West Ham ace gobbled up the rebound.

Amid reports suggesting that Tottenham are looking at a new goalkeeper – with Bayindir joining Dean Henderson and Sam Johnstone on the wishlist – is the 34-year-old World Cup winner about to lose his starting spot after a decade as Spurs’ number one?

Fanatik claims that the London giants are big fans of Bayindir, Fenerbahce’s £12 million-rated glovesman.

Although, with two years left on his contract, the 22-year-old is in no rush to pack his bags and swap the Turkish capital for the English one.

“I will make my decision if it benefits the club,” Bayindir said when asked about his future.

“My priority is always my club. I feel myself belonging to Fenerbahce. Fenerbahce is a big part of my life.”

Turkey U21 international Bayindir has been turning heads for a while now, earning special praise from new Fenerbahce teammate Mesut Ozil after a stunning performance against Hatayspor a few weeks ago.
