Gary Lineker has taken to Twitter to hail Phil Foden after his fabulous performance for Manchester City against Aston Villa.
The young Englishman has really established himself as a first-team regular at City this term, and while he’s put in a number of stunning showings, his performance against Villa could be the best of the bunch.
Lineker was certainly blown away by the Stockport Iniesta, tweeting about his brilliance during the game.
It’s clear to see that Lineker was awe-struck while watching Foden work his magic for City, and it’s not hard to understand why.
The midfielder bagged the equaliser against Villa, but aside from the obvious praise he’ll get for his goal, he absolutely ran the show.
It’s so easy to forget how young this fantastic footballer is when you watch him on the pitch due to how mature he is.
Foden is only 20 years old and he’s already one of the best players in the Premier League, it’s absolutely frightening to imagine how good he could be in a few years’ time.
