Some Newcastle United fans on Twitter have praised Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford for his performance against Fulham last night.
Bamford was the star of the show for Leeds, as Marcelo Bielsa’s side got the better of Fulham 2-1 away from home at Craven Cottage in London in the Premier League.
The 27-year-old striker found the back of the net in the 29th minute and provided the assist for Raphinha’s goal in the 58th minute.
While the win enhanced Leeds’s chances of finishing in the top 10, it also increased Newcastle’s chances of survival in the Premier League and escaping the dreaded drop to the Championship at the end of the season.
Fulham are still third from bottom in the Premier League table with 26 points from 30 matches, two points behind 17th-placed Newcastle, who have played 28 games.

The Magpies can increase that gap further this evening when they take on Brighton and Hove Albion away from home in the Premier League.
Some Newcastle fans on Twitter were pleased to see Bamford score and help Leeds to all three points against Fulham, as shown below.
