Mateusz Klich enjoyed a stellar night for Poland as the Leeds United midfielder provided Robert Lewandowski with a sublime assist during their 3-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Unlike in England, Klich actually played in front of a small crowd in his homeland and the workman-like Leeds man delivered for those in attendance.
Lewandowski stole the show with his brace during the UEFA Nations League contest, but a selection of fans on social media were wowed by the dinking assist in which Klich provided for the third goal of the game.
It has been a strong start to the season at Elland Road for Klich and the Leeds faithful can see that he’s carrying that form onto the international stage.
Only a couple of seasons ago, Klich was deemed to be not good enough for the Yorkshire club and fast forward to today and he’s linking up with one of the best strikers in world football in Lewandowski.
Marcelo Bielsa, and Klich himself, deserve huge credit for his turnaround because has been like this non-stop powerful battery in the middle of the park for both club and country.
