Noel Whelan has said on BBC Radio Leeds that Leeds United should make a move for Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard.

The former Leeds striker, who now works as a pundit for BBC Radio Leeds, believes that the Whites need to sign a new striker in the summer of 2021.

Whelan has said that Celtic striker Edouard would be a good signing for Leeds and has highlighted what he likes about him.

The Englishman said on BBC Radio Leeds: “I do think we need another striker, no doubt about that. I have been thinking for over two seasons now.”

Whelan added: “Edouard at Celtic. I have been a big fan of him for a long time. He is my choice. He has got the stature, he has got the work rate, he can take set pieces.”

Odsonne Edouard to Leeds United?

Edouard is one of the best strikers in the Scottish Premiership, and the 23-year-old is ready for the next step in his career and a move to the Premier League could be appealing to him.

The former Paris Saint-Germain striker is a very good goalscorer, holds the ball up, and links up nicely with his teammates.

According to WhoScored, the France Under-21 international striker has scored 16 goals and provided three assists in 26 Scottish Premiership matches for the Hoops so far this season.

Patrick Bamford is the number one striker at Leeds, who do need more competition for the Englishman.
