Former Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has told Sky Sports that Rangers manager Steven Gerrard will be disappointed with how the Gers have performed in the Cup competitions this season.
Rangers have already won the Scottish Premiership title this season and also reached the Europa League Round of 16.
However, the Ibrox club have not been great in the Scottish Cup and the Scottish League Cup this season.
Rangers lost to St Johnstone in the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup and were defeated by St Mirren in the Scottish League Cup quarter-finals.
Former Celtic manager Rodgers, now in charge of Leicester City in the Premier League, has said that Rangers will be disappointed with their performance and results in the Cup competitions, but he believes that the Gers have been the best team in the Scottish Premiership this season.

Rodgers told told Sky Sports when asked if he would be pleased if Rangers go unbeaten in the league this season, as transcribed by The Daily Record: “Listen, it would be very difficult for me to say with my Celtic hat on. Rangers deserved to win the league this year, I don’t think there is any doubt about that.
“Consistently, they have been the best team in the league, they will probably be disappointed with the Cups and how that has gone. The challenge for them this year was to win the league and stop Celtic winning their 10th title and they have done that.
“So Steven will look to build on that in the summer and look to progress, where they go into the Champions League which is a huge challenge. And he will look to continue to win trophies because that is what Celtic and Rangers are about. Celtic and Rangers are about winning and winning in the best way you possibly can.”
Successful season
True, Rangers will feel that they could have gone further in the Cup competitions, but it has still been a hugely successful season in which they stopped bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic from winning the Scottish Premiership title for the 10th year in a row.
Rangers have closed the gap and have actually gone further ahead of Celtic, and the Gers will fancy their chances of winning the title again next season.
