Raphinha was the hero for Leeds United yet again on Tuesday night.
The Brazilian winger scored a stoppage-time winner from the penalty spot to give United a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace at Elland Road.
It was another brilliant performance from the 24-year-old who reminded Leeds fans what a massive player he is for them.
In the first half, Patrick Vieira’s side couldn’t lay a glove on the Whites attacker at times, particularly in the first half.
One incident in particular summed up Raphinha, when a Ronaldinho Elastico deceieved an opposition player and won a corner for the home side.
And Jim Beglin, speaking during commentary on NBC Sport, said at the time: “My cartilage is a little sore after just watching that skill from Raphinha. Just watch the left foot, the way he caresses the ball. Superb.”
Massive
This is such a huge player for Marcelo Bielsa.
Raphinha’s goal helped Leeds move five points clear of the relegation zone last night.
So far, he has six Premier League goals in 12 games this season and it makes you wonder where the club would be without him.
Remember, Leeds have been without Patrick Bamford, their best goalscorer, since Septemeber.
But Raphinha has stepped up to the plate in such a majorway because without him, Bielsa’s side would be a well-known creek.
