Graeme Murty’s Glasgow Rangers lost to Hibernian at Ibrox, with Alfredo Morelos failing to score for the Gers.
Morelos featured for Rangers in the Scottish Premiership game against Hibernian at home on Saturday afternoon.
The 21-year-old striker started the game and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the Gers lost 2-1.
Rangers manager Murty has given his take on the performance of the Colombian striker against His at Ibrox.
Murty told The Glasgow Evening Times about Morelos: “I thought he cut a frustrated figure at times because he was dealt with robustly.
“But he kept his focus. He had a goal chalked off and tried to do the right things and get in the right area.
“But for a couple of really good blocks he could have had a goal, so I thought he did OK.”
Could have done better
Morelos, who is one of the best strikers in the Scottish Premiership and is a key figure in the current Rangers team, could have done better against Hibernian.
Rangers fans were not pleased with the display produced by the 2017 summer signing, as reported on HITC Sport.
It must be remembered, though, that Morelos is only 21 years of age and is very young.
The Colombian is bound to have bad games from time to time, and it is important that manager Murty and the Rangers fans continue to have confidence in him.
