Rangers manager Graeme Murty has expressed hope that new signing Sean Goss will be able to bring the best of his side’s attacking players.

Goss joined on loan from Queens Park Rangers earlier this month and is determined to make an instant impact for his temporary club, with Murty confident that the 22-year-old will be a success.

Murty feels that the likes of Daniel Candelas, Niko Kranjcar and Josh Windass will benefit from playing with Goss.

Murty told the club’s official website: “You need people who can actually pass past them and pass around them and actually always be available to restart attacks and recycle the game.

“So hopefully Sean can come in and do that for us and allow our skilled players in positions higher up the pitch a little bit more freedom to go and express themselves.”

Rangers are currently in third place in the Scottish Premiership, eleven points adrift of leaders Celtic, and it is clear that Murty’s side have much work to do if they are to enjoy a successful season.

Goss endured a difficult first half of the campaign as he didn’t feature for QPR, but he will be aiming to become a player of considerable importance for Rangers.

The former Manchester United player is excellent at helping his side to retain possession with short, snappy passes and it will be intriguing to see what impact he makes during his time in Scotland.

Should he impress sufficiently there is surely a possibility that Goss could eventually earn a permanent switch to Rangers in the summer, although for now he will simply be relishing the prospect of playing regularly.
